"Folketinget", the Danish Parliament hosted the EU Speakers
During the last days of June the Danish Parliament was "dressed in" international colours and langiuages with delegates from 30 nations.

The Conference of Speakers of European Union Parliaments, is a forum where the Speakers of the parliaments of Member States of the European Union and the European Parliament meet annually. This year Denmark hosted the event. During the two conference days the delegates could listen to speeches from the Chairman of the Danish Parliament Christian Mejdahl, The Danish Primeminister Anders Fogh Rasmussen and Margot Wallström, Vice-President of the European Commission.
In addition to the speeches there were debates and discussions between the delegates.
A full-scale conference solution
Informationsteknik was responsible for the complete conference solution for the EU meeting including audio, video, technical project management and consultancy - and following received praise for equipment and staff from both the interpreters and the organizers.
19 languages were needed for this conference. Informationsteknik delivered interpreter booths, DIS simultaneous interpreter systems and digital receivers for each delegate. Additionnally we recorded the speakers live in order for the interpreters to monitor the speakers, as the interpreters and the interpreter booths were placed in a meeting room at the opposite end of Christiansborg because of lack of space.
During the debates the delegates used the existing DIS microphones in the room, and like at all other meetings in the Danish Parliament Informationsteknik managed the delegate microphones. Via our conference software the delegates and their speaking time were registered and controlled.
